• Call tech support.They were a big help when I had a problem setting up wifi

• Try HP Printer Assistant (software which gets installed) the select HP Update.

• Go to the HP site and load the appropriate drivers.

• i didnt have a problem installing the printer but it does say cannot connect to scanner and then continues to scan so that i dont know about. i have it set to my windows 8.1 computer and my Ipad. try re-installing it.
