Mine does the same thing…I took it back 4 times, AND THEY ALL DO IT. I called HP and talked to somebody on a distant planet and they said the power supply in my house is corrupted somehow…strange that I've had 4 other HP printers and none of them suffered from the problem. I'm keeping the printer because it works great, just sad that HP doesn't seem to think they have an issue, and THEY DO!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The printer does go through some sort of a ritual when turning it off that could be described as a buzzing sound, It definitely goes through more of this whirling and buzzing when it is turned on. I think it is part of the setup and shutdown procedure. I hope this helps.
