- Answer Yes, it comes with a setup disc. Your choice to DL drivers or use the disc. I prefer installing the driver via the disc because of the other utilities provided by HP.

QuestionWhen hooking up the fax machine on this printer, my old computer not wireless is hooked into my phone jack. Do I need a splitter in order to hook the fax machine up into the same phone jack. I'm assuming the old computer needs this phone line to run.

- Answer Carol; It should work with Windows 7, 8 and 10. You're Lenovo laptop should work fine with it. You can even go to www.hp.com and look up the latest printer software. I think you'll find it to be a winner for your son. Best of luck.

- Answer Yes, nothing gets cut off. If you're going to scan or copy for legal size paper, use the feeder on top, not the glass portion.

QuestionI know you can print 4x6 photos and 8x10, but is it possible to use and print on 3x5 photo paper on the 7640?

- Answer This printer can do the 4x6 prints, but it will not do the 3x5 size paper. There's no grips inside to hold the paper. The upper tray is used only for a 4x6 piece of paper. Sorry, keep looking. Other than that, it does nice picture prints.

- Answer I print size 10 envelopes. No problem. Just follow correct placement. Use old Microsoft Office software.
