For those wondering, Intel Optane is Intels branded version of 3D XPoint developed jointly with Intel and Micron. This computer does have One M.2 socket 3 key M, 2280 but it is taken up by the super large 256GB SSD so in order to install an Intel Optane memory module (16gb or 32gb) you would have to remove the SSD from the computer. You would also need to format the SATA connected HDD to include a 5mb partition at the end of your drive and install the Intel Optane manager. Be aware that Optane is still new and the XPoint limits have not been fully realized yet!
