Thank you for the question. You have some flexibility on connecting peripherals to the TE01-5344. Yes, you'll need an external microphone for voice typing, zoom calls and other apps requiring voice input. Depending on the microphone's connection point, you can connect it to the mic port on the rear, or a USB port. Depending on your speaker connection point, you can connect your speakers either to the headphone/mic port on the front, to a USB port, or to the IN/OUT ports on the rear.
