• A:Answer Hello, thank you for your question on this HP Envy Desktop (model TE01-5344)! The highest resolution this model can perform out of the box is up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz via HDMI. To take advantage of this resolution, you'll need both a monitor than can support this resolution and an HDMI cable as well. • A:Answer Hello and thank you for asking. The HP Envy TE01-5344 desktop computer comes with Microsoft Windows 11 home pre-installed. All versions of Windows 10 are no longer available for purchase from Microsoft. HP will not provide technical support if you downgrade an HP computer preinstalled with Windows 11 to Windows 10

• A:Answer No, unfortunately it does NOT. However, I understand you can purchase such a drive and install it. However, if you have the Geek Squad do the basic software installation, I think they can do that. I gave them some older software on discs and it was on my new Envy computer when I took it home. From what I understand, MOST new software is really only available on the WEB!!! The Geek Squad personnel told me that sometime you get a box, but it really only contains download info or perhaps a small flash drive with software. I think disc are mostly of the past. Similarly to old paper tape and punch cards -- if you even know what I am talking about, i.e 1960s and 1970s computers!!! (oh my god--I forgot magnetic tapes)

Q: QuestionDoes the motherboard allow for installation of a dedicated graphics card such as an RTX 3050?

The HP TE01-5344 Envy desktop computer can support a dedicated graphics card but the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 will not work because the power supply built into this computer is not able to support it. The power requirement for that graphics card averages about 450 watts and this computer has a 310 watt power supply.

• A:Answer Thank you for the question. You have some flexibility on connecting peripherals to the TE01-5344. Yes, you'll need an external microphone for voice typing, zoom calls and other apps requiring voice input. Depending on the microphone's connection point, you can connect it to the mic port on the rear, or a USB port. Depending on your speaker connection point, you can connect your speakers either to the headphone/mic port on the front, to a USB port, or to the IN/OUT ports on the rear.
