• I believe that because it is solid state, and does not have the old style hard drive, there is no motor to get hot.

• Lefty, thank you for your question about this HP Envy desktop! This is equipped with a stock cooler and is adequate for keeping the processor cool. If ventilation is a concern, you may want to consider HP's Omen gaming desktop lines, which are sold through Best Buy.
