There are three fans inside this HP Envy. One on the processor/heat sink; one on the power supply and one on the case chassis for additional cooling. I suspect that they're all ball bearing fans - the unit is extremely quiet!

You could probably add another on the internal cage right behind the front cover at the base of the unit, but you'd need to make or buy a power cable splitter to power the additional fan as there's only one power pinout available on the mainboard for fan power. Better (and much easier) to use a free temperature monitoring utility like Core Temp to keep an eye on your computer's internal temperature in the environment that the computer is being used in.
