This is helpful when scanning multiple-page documents (you can also scan single pages from the glass). Because of the feeder, the 7955e can also scan legal-sized (8.5 x 14") documents. The 7255e can only scan from the glass, single pages, and only up to letter size. The Envy Inspire 7955e is larger, measuring 22.44 x 11.93 x 18.27 inches, and the Envy Inspire 7255e measures 18.11 x 15.08 x 7.5 inches.
