I would return it to the store of purchase. This should not happen.

If the printer output is black but not color, printing from all devices (and you've set the print menu to color) the issue is likely with the color cartridge or cartridge system. If loaded properly and you did not touch the gold connectors when loading the cartridge, please reach out to Support.HP.com or call 800-474-6836. They may be able to walk you through a cure, or you can arrange for a replacement if your printer is still under warranty.
