- Answer Hello Krista and thank you for asking. The HP Envy Inspire 7955e can use plain, photo, and other types of papers from 16 to 80 lb. The use of card stock is not supported.

QuestionI just bought a new iMac desk top computer-and my current HP envy printer which I love does not have connecting wires that are compatible with my new computer. I'm not sure what printer may be compatible. Thanks for your help.

- Answer Thank you for your question regarding HP printers. Most of the current devices have built-in Wi-Fi that you can use to connect to the printer. If you rather not use a Wi-Fi setup, you will need a cable that has USB-B 2.0 port at one end. Either USB-A or USB-C to USB-B 2.0 will work if your iMac has either of those ports.

- Answer Hello, Jackie. This HP Envy Inspire 7955e printer does not have a front USB port for scanning to a USB flash drive. You can still scan and save to a USB flash drive plugged into a computer with this printer.

- Answer Thank you for your question on this HP Envy Inspire printer! You can set up the printer without using the HP Smart app. Even if you use the app, HP+ and Instant Ink are both opt-in.

- Answer Hi Dave, thank you for the question and feedback. Inkjet cartridges have hundreds of nozzles, and perform better when the printer is powered on 24/7. This allows for cleaning cycles if needed, and to keep the ink at the proper viscosity. It's not a bad idea to print one page (even a test page) every couple of weeks to keep the nozzles clear. You'll always be ready to print.
