The lowest cost for photo printer would be to use the HP Instant Ink program. If you use the HP Instant Ink program on the medium plan (100 pages per month) One page is 5cents, whether it is a photo, or full 8.5x11" page. The cost is $4.99 per month for 100 pages. The lowest cost plan is $2.99 for 50 pages which would be 6cents per page. Not using HP instant ink, it becomes a bit more complicated to calculate. The HP 64 Black and color 2 pack costs $39.99 and should be able to print approximately 165 full pages at 5% coverage. Since photos use different levels of ink, you could get anywhere from 5 to 50 photos from a set of chartridges. You can quickly see that HP Instant Ink is the most cost effective way to print photos.
