HP has a one year warranty. Which you may need...the hinges have a problem on many of them where they come loose. On my sons computer, it broke the screen twice. The first time, I thought it was user error and paid BB over $500 to repair the screen. It was broken in exactly the same way a couple of days after getting it back. I know that wasn't a coincidence (I had put the computer up and it came out of it's case with a broken screen). I looked online to see if there were similar problems and found that they had problems with the hinges HP is currently repairing the problems. No word from Best Buy and Geek Squad on if they'll reimburse (or HP) for the first screen repair due to the hinge.
