i have asked this Q and geek squd has to upgrade the hard drive or the warranty is void. they said if you bought the new hard drive from them they will put it in for you. you have to let them have the compter and make an appt to dfo this

It does have a smaller secondary drive that stores the OS and some information. If you are interested in upgrading this laptop, you would want to contact HP Support or Geek Squad. If Geek Squad performs the upgrade, it would not void the warranty, but HP would not cover the new parts.
