“Are the letters painted or embossed on the keys or are they just transparent with the backlight shining through?”

• HP As I hope you have figured out by now, transparent letters are a TERRIBLE idea, because unless you are in a completely darkened room, they do NOT show up well even with the backlight.

• Hi Lucky, thank you for the question. The keyboard characters are stamped and the backlight glows through the characters.
