Thank you for the question. The slot labeled "SD" is for a secure digital card. This could be a card from a camera, or one that you've purchased for additional file storage. There is a SuperSpeed USB-A port on the left also, and the right side has another SuperSpeed USB-A port and two SuperSpeed USB-C ports (capable of DisplayPort, power delivery, and HP Sleep and Charge). If you need more ports for peripherals, you can get a dock or hub that connects to one of the existing ports. There are many on the market and many configurations (types of ports offered).
