Can the RAM be upgraded/replaced by the user? null

As I mentioned on another question, this laptop can indeed be upgraded to 32GB. I just finished the upgrade on mine. See pic attached for config. RAM I used: Crucial 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Kit (2 x 16GB) BH #CRCT2K16G4S8 • MFR #CT2K16G4SFD832A

The laptop has two SO-DIMM slots. The prior 3700U version could purchased from resellers with up to 32GB (2x16). The service manual does not list a 32GB option and it MAY be limited in the BIOS. While the RAM can be upgraded to 16 GB (2x8 GB), it does require significant disassembly and may not be replaceable by all users.
