• It’s a bit confusing but AMDs Ryzen line of mobile processors specifically began with the 2000U series. The 4000U series mobile processors are in fact 3rd gen.

• It is not a typo, HP. Ryzen 4000 series is in fact 3rd gen. They started with the 2000 series first. Then 3000, and now 4000. Hope that helps everyone out!
