Hi Mike. Sorry, but no there is no internal space for a 2.5" drive. Here is the Maintenance and Service guide for this laptop. If you wanted to upgrade the storage, you could remove and replace the existing 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD with a higher capacity module. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06612241.pdf
