Hi Anthony, thank you for reaching out. The Envy series is a step-up from the Pavilion series, in build and features. You don't indicate which Pavilion model you're comparing to this Envy x360, however, we noticed that all of the Pavilion x360's currently on offer from Best Buy have 8GB RAM and an i5 processor, whereas the Envy 15m-es0023dx has 16GB RAM and an i7 processor. The Envy also has a Corning Gorilla Glass display, an IR Thermal sensor, and a stepped-up audio system.
