Hello, this laptop has 3 USB ports which can be used to connect external hard drives for additional storage. You can add an external 1 TB SSD through one of the USB ports. There is no additional space in this laptop to add an internal SSD. This laptop was maufactured with 512SSD and an additional 32GB Intel Optane for adaptability to the user for faster speed.
