Unfortunately, I could not find a way to disable the touchscreen automatically upon plugging in a mouse. However, you can manually disable the touch screen driver in the device manager. You can do this by right clicking on the Start Menu button (Windows Logo) and going to device manager. From there, go to Human Interface Devices, and find the HID Compliant Touch Screen. Right click it and disable it, and all touch screen inputs will be ignored, but active styluses (such as the HP pen) can still be used. You can just as easily re-enable it by right clicking the device and clicking "Enable Device". Hope this helps.
