If you are not set on a certain brand of word processor, check out LibreOffice or OpenOffice. Both are great open source (i.e. free) software packages and quite Microsoft-compatible, albeit admittedly not 100%. The package includes equivalents of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. I use LibreOffice every day and love it bc I get updates regularly.
