The USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port can be used for power delivery, to plug in a DisplayPort adapter for an external monitor and it supports HP Sleep and Charge. It can also be used to connect many other devices that support a USB C connection. With an adapter it can also be used as a regular USB A port.
