“I cannot get the print screen to work. The prt sc button is not in the normal spot above the backspace key. On this laptop it is on the shift key, I have googled and tried suggestions and still cannot get the print screen to work (make copy). Please help.”

If you search "print screen" in settings, there is a option to turn on "Print Screen Shortcut." With this on, you can hold down the "fn" button and press the shift button with "pr sc" on it to open the snip tool as if you just pressed snip. You can then save the screen. Not exactly the same as just printing the screen but it gets the job done.
