Hi Ezio. Thanks for the question. This, like any other computer system board, is capable of failing but it is extremely unlikely to do so. Yes, the motherboard can be replaced if it fails or the entire computer could be replaced depending on the circumstances. Here is a link to the Maintenance and Service Guide for this laptop.
