Yes. You can both replace the 2.5 inch HDD with an SSD of the same form factor, or leave that HDD inside and add an M.2 SSD in the empty socket and use both.

The problem is you need at least a 512 gb ssd drive if this is your main machine and you have lots of programs and data. What I may do later on is get a computer with a 256 gb ssd drive and a small subset of programs that I can use like a tablet/computer, it probably would about as expensive as swapping our for a 512 gb ssd drive.
