“What is the speed/generation of the pcie M.2 drive? Is it Gen 3 x 4 or Gen 2 x 4?”

• It's a Gen 2 x4. I learned this by installing a Gen 3 X4 WD black M.2 SSD and only achieved Gen 2 speeds. getting 1500-1600 mbps which is still fast. the Gen 3 drives are not that much more either and some provide higher total write volumes.
