• i5 is a better processor but the graphics that come with an a10 (amd radeon hd 7660g) are better than the i5 graphics (intel hd 4000). So you have to choose which one you want depending on what you'll be using the laptop for.

• I honestly think with AMD you get a better deal price wise and with equal performance, on the other hand, with the i5 you're paying for the name brand, so it depends on your budget.

• In the case of this laptop, the i5 is a better CPU. The AMD quad core in these is actually a hair slower than the i3's are.
