No infact when you sign up they send you a welcome pack it has your first set of ink packs in it. Now be wary though. Some of these cartridges are bigger than normal but they will fit your printer I use an office jet 8620 And they are a tad bit larger. The printer auto orders for you based on how you use ink. They do not send every month only when you start to run low. The newer printers warn you ahead of time that the ink is getting low. Via pop up on screen and the printers bells and whistles It does the same thing when it orders your ink. These new printers are smarter than most smart phones.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Call and complain to HP Instant Ink Support. 1-855-785-2777 This program is good for some. Not good for me. Watch out for overages at 5c a page! Really? I have given HP a total of 260 dollars and received only 1 set of ink. When I saw the overages of almost 200 in one month I canceled the program and immediately my printer was disabled. HP shuts off the use of their Instant Ink cartridges when you are not enrolled in the program.
