• Thank you for your questions! This particular model requires internet access, an HP+ account (free signup), and genuine HP cartridges. HP Instant Ink is completely optional. This model does not have automatic duplex printing.

• Still not clear what HP account means. Is this a laser printer? Doesn’t a starter toner cartridge come with it. And when it is all used up, can’t I just go and buy another cartridge?

• It does not duplex print. You have to reinsert the same page to print on both sides. The HP account is needed to use the 6 months of free laser toner. After that there is a monthly cost.
