It uses toner cartridges. However, there is no copier/scanner. The HP app does allow for phone scanning and printing via WiFi. This is simply a plain black and white laser printer. All fax, copying functions are via the app.

The LaserJet M110we does not have a scanner, however you can scan an item with your smartphone and send it to the printer. If you prefer a model with a scan bed for scanning from the printer, please see the LaserJet M234dwe.
