• Thank you for the question. Any HP model printer with an "e" in the suffix (such as this LaserJet Pro M140we) is an HP+ printer and requires internet service to connect with HP to order ink before you run out. For the free additional warranty, HP requires internet to verify that Genuine HP cartridges are in place. There are models that don't require an internet connection. Look for printers without the "e" suffix.
