Mine is hooked up, so I’m not sure of the first question. However I have printed from my iPhone. It’s very easy and convenient!

If you do not have WiFi, you can use WiFi Direct. Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no availability to hook up with wires. Only output is the power source. You have to use wifi for printing. Works fine from a phone, tablet or computer.
