Yes, you can connect this LaserJet M140we printer to a computer with a USB printer cable, however it is not included with the purchase of this printer.

It's really meant to aide in the setup and to get it connected to your wireless network. This printer must be connected to the internet and you must link it to an online HP account. If you do this, you can use it with a USB cable. However, if you are able to install it without connecting it to the internet as you just intend on just plugging it in via USB and never connecting it to the internet, it will stop printing after a few days and tell you that the printer is meant to connect to the internet and be linked to an online HP account.
