“When printing, a pop-up comes up showing "2-sided printing"- hit continue. This never came up before and I cannot figure out how to keep this from happening. Prior to this, printer would work with no type of interruption.”

Thank you for the question. The LaserJet M15w does not support automatic 2-sided printing, and the message is telling you to reverse the printed page to print the second side. When you click "continue" without reversing the page, it's printing on whatever paper is in the input tray. Check your document settings, to see if you've clicked "2 sided" when printing the document. (File>print=document print menu).
