MICR toner has a high iron content which will damage any off the shelf laser printer. It will work for some time but the life span of the printer is shorter. Typically you will want to get a laser printer that has been retrofitted to work with MICR. Do note that MICR is not a requirement for checks as it used to be. In this generation of being able to snap a picture of a check and deposit it via phone, it is not as necessary as it once was.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP does not list MICR as a replacement cartridge option. If you can find one, I see no reason it should not work. CAVEAT: Some color printers use all 4 colors even when printing black only. Best to contact HP on that.
