• It comes with an introductory toner cartridge. As far as specifications, replacement cartridges must be authentic HP 58A or 58X as there is a security chip.

• The LaserJet m404n comes with a black toner already preinstalled. It would yield approximately 1,500 pages. When it comes time to replace the toner you would have a choice of a normal 58A toner which would yield approximately 3,000 pages. Or the high yield toner, 58X, which would yield approximately 10,000 pages.
