“How long does the included ink cartridge last before it dries out? I don't print things very often, so am concerned about the length of time a cartridge will be good for and not how many pages it can print.”

• Preinstalled HP Black LaserJet Toner Cartridge for the HP LaserJet Pro M404n printer would last about 1,500 pages. The toner will not expire nor does it dry up. You just need to replace the toner when you run out.

• This is a laser printer which uses toner, not ink. Toner does not dry out so cartridges can last for years even with infrequent use.
