Click on "Specifications" below for more details. There you'll find more specific information about which features this printer supports. For instance, it does not offer reduce and enlarge --a basic need in every office -- but, to answer your question, it does support duplex (automatic) printing and scanning. Notice the "d" in its moniker -- m425fdn. NOTE: the "d" will always mean duplex printing, but it doesn't always mean duplex scanning, so you'd need to check further.

You'll also notice that this printer does not reduce and enlarge, even though this is a basic and necessary function in every office -- and home if doing research, etc. -- and apparently does not have a draft or ink/toner saving mode, either.
