• Thank you for the question. The specification for the LaserJet Pro M227fdn does not indicate that high-speed internet is required. It indicates that the USB 2.0 port is a high speed port, meaning that it can transfer data at a faster rate than USB 1.1. Note that for cabled connection, you'll get faster speed using an Ethernet cable with this printer.
