“Since the day I installed new macOS Big SUR, my current printer Hp model M1217 is not detecting auto select driver for printer. My question is did anyone have an issue with this printer or it will connect easily with Mac with macOS Big Sur?”

• Working for me on Big Sur. Try adding it via Secure AirPrint.

• Not knowing Mac/Big Sur - I can only respond from a WiFi I was only ably to print from my IPhone. During further configuration I inadvertently aborted the process and could not restart. I ended up doing a direct USB switch connect and am happy with the limited use. It feels like 1980, but is a good printer.
