• Pull up on top @ front edge. It is difficult but will open.

• If you are using it with a Tablet HP makes you buy their app. or it will not work. I tried everything and so did Bestbuy. After I paid for the App it works some times and it does not work other times It works fine on my laptop when hard wired in.
