Yes this printer is ideal for travel and one precaution that needs to be keprt in mind is that the printer should never be stored upside down or on it's side and should be transported right side up to avoid the print cartridges from leaking and thus air drying the spilled ink hardening it and damaging the print heads. I send this little printer off shore and they put it thru hell and it just keeps on printing.
