• I bought this printer based on the cost of the ink. My last printer ink was so expensive $75. So i came out better by buying this one. And the replacement ink is less expensive. And plus you can buy the hp instant ink on a monthly basis.

• I didn't find that this ink was expensive at Best Buy. This unit doesn't seem to use a lot of ink. I have used it a lot and still am using the trial size that came with the computer.

• I researched other printers and the cost of their ink and found the ink for the 5740 is very reasonable.
