Yes, it does take card stock paper, but the settings for paper type do not specify card stock....just says plain paper, photo paper (glossy or matte) and brochure paper. I used the plain paper setting and it worked. This printer has confusing preference settings!

You must change the paper type on the printer's touch screen once you insert the cardstock into the paper tray to ensure the ink is laid on the paper the correct way and so there are no paper jams. I hope this helps.
