Dear SgtMajor; Okay, this is a question I get often. My recommendation is to print one page per week. That's it. No print equals clogging. Inkjets are different than laserjets. Inkjets need fresh ink to keep printing for their whole life cycle, while laserjets can sit for months at a time without any attention. This explains why laserjet sales have been increasing in the last few years; consumers are getting tired of forking out money for a lost cause. Hope that helps, sergeant.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No the ink cartridges do not dry up & that was one reason that we chose this printer!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All ink jets have the "drying up" problem to some degree. Thst said, the newer the printer the worse that has seemed to become. If you truly use your computer rarely, my suggestion to you would be to actually look at the lower cost, low volume color Laser Printers because laser toner doesn't dry up. The worst thing you might need to do is shake a cartridge a bit. Yes, it's expensive to replace the toner and imaging heads in those units but if you truly use an inkjet only a few times or even once a month, or once every 2 months 3 months, you can waste a lot of money on liquid ink.
