• Yes، switch to gray scale in properties and you will be using black only.

• NO IT WILL NOT. My printer at less than 6 months old started experiencing "cartridge issues" with a new HP cyan cartridge. It won't print anything if I remove all the color cartridges. Seriously - avoid this printer.
