“Just purchased this printer. The software CD included is for the HP OfficeJet Pro 6970!? When installing on-line through 123.hp.com/setup it says the printer that is found is the 6970? HP, why is this the case? In spite of this, printer works great.”

• They share the same driver. Even though they have a different model number but those two printer functions the same and look identical. The HP 6978 is just a newer version of the 6970.
