“Do you need special paper for this printer? When was this printer first on the market , reason asking I don't want to buy it and then find out that I can't get the print cartridges in a few years.”

You do not need special paper for this printer; any old printer paper from Office Depot, CVS, Walgreens, just about anywhere, will work. HP should continue to make cartridges for this printer for years, plus the HP Instant Ink program in which they mail print cartridges to you when the printer gets low on ink is very convenient and reasonably priced, about 3-5 dollars a month.

This printer has been on the market for around 2 years, it is still a current model and our ink cartridges are rarely discontinued. You should be able to find the ink for this model for many years.
